EDUCATIONAL EXHIBITS – The Holy Cross Mountains Geopark UNESCO
What did the Świętokrzyskie region look like 380 million years ago? Back then, it was covered by a Devonian sea—but what creatures lived in its waters? What did a Jurassic ichthyosaur look like? And what traces of this distant past can we find today in the rocks extracted by local quarries and explored by geologists and enthusiasts?
These were the questions we asked ourselves while working with the Local Action Group “Perły Czarnej Nidy” and the Holy Cross Mountains Geopark on geological totems that tell the story of the ancient past of our region.
Special thanks to kamyk.pl for the beautiful geological models!
